“Flare” From The Chair

Lots of good news for the District. A contract has been signed to replace the deteriorating boat ramp in the marina. The ramp will be closed for several months. You will have to make other arrangements to launch your boat during construction. We recommend the public boat ramps on 10th or 59th street.

We are also going forward with the renovation of the marina as well as the dredging. Will keep you posted of the progress on this project.

The Recreation Hall and Screen Room are also on the agenda for renovation. We are utilizing the drawings created for us by the college students who presented some unique concepts for our review. These drawings are available in the Recreation Center for your review. Give us your thoughts.

We now have a Recreation Committee looking into restoring the 4th of July Picnic. Please join the committee meetings to help plan and execute the events. Contact the district office and let them know you want to be a part of this event and others. This committee is also looking at options for the District in other recreation events and attractions. Your input would be welcome with this aspect of the charge to this committee.

We think that 2019 is going to be a great year and want you to be a part of the planning for the future of our District.
