C.E.R.T. thanks all of you for your participation in our first “ATTIC SALE” here in Bayshore Gardens and special thanks for the help we received from your Bayshore Gardens Crime Watch members who assisted C.E.R.T. in this event. Thank you for welcoming C.E.R.T. into this great community. The proceeds from the sale are used to purchase needed supplies. We will be available in the March 23rd Crime Watch “ATTIC SALE” to provide you with Hurricane Guides, Vile of Life, as well as more information about C.E.R.T. and how you can become involved. Hope you will stop in and talk to us.

Woodchoppers

Our next meeting is Saturday, March 9th at 10 AM in the shop. Please mark your calendars. The door combination was changed and a new year started after our January Meeting. 2019 Memberships can be obtained by adult residents in the Bayshore Gardens District They will expire in January 2020. New Memberships will be accepted at the Recreation Center Office or immediately after the March 9th Woodchoppers Meeting in the Shop. Membership fees are still $20 per person for the year. Bayshore Gardens Yacht Club: We’re not only about boats, come join the fun!

Change of Watch
On February 2nd Bayshore Gardens Yacht Club held its Change of Watch Celebration at the Recreation Center. Approximately 80 people enjoyed a fabulous array of finger foods, great dance music by The Carolyn Davis Band and witnessed the change of officers for 2019. Installed as Commodore, is Terry Zimmerly. Vice Commodore is Marie Horn. Gerri Klemm is our Rear Commodore and Dan Rawlinson is our Fleet Captain. Holly Clouse is the new secretary and Sue Brasel continues as our Treasurer. John Lindsay, Robin Addley and Becky Prouty will serve as Directors.

Meeting called to order at 7:15 pm
Treasurer Report: Review of Bank account and petty cash account. Balance of account matches with Bank statement. Motion to accept by Susan, second by Don, approve by all. Joyce Fisher is now a BBT Bank signer along with Susan D.
Membership for 2019: 62 as of 2/9/2019.
Secretary Report: Minutes for meeting last month were posted in the Banner. Motion to accept minutes by Joyce, second by Dan, approved by all.

Garden Club News

The March meeting is Monday, March 4th at 1 pm at the Recreation Center. Our own Rosemarie Woodruff will present a program about Container Gardening.

There were 14 present at the February meeting for the tour of the Sarasota Succulent Society Experimental Gardens at 1310 38th Street. The entry gate to the Gardens is on Cocoanut Ave. just north of Myrtle Ave.
